Debating Chamber App

The Scottish Parliament required an informative learning resource to enhance the visitor experience for visitors to its Chamber within the Parliament building. The resource was to be interactive and provide a context to the many features of the Chamber for the visitor to better understand their meaning and purpose.

For the Parliament we created an App for iPad use in bilingual format (English & Gaelic) that explained each of the unique features of the Chamber via hotspots and pop ups to help guide the visitor and to create a sense of discovery when in the Chamber.


In addition, visitors were able to interact with the Chamber seating plan to understand and discover where political parties sat and the results of the 2016 election results. The App itself involved designing and creating a main menu of 4 key sections, development of over 30 hotspots involving images and text panels using accordion style transitions, language buttons and Chamber seating plan that highlights political party seating arrangements and numbers of MSP’s per party.
